Fires

Campfires are an essential part of campground life and we do not want to limit your ability to have one. Please understand that fire is also one of the biggest risks to a campground. We believe our policies are very much common sense and ask that you not take any of them lightly for the safety of everyone.

  • -    Please do not leave any fire unattended (to include embers or coals) and ensure they are fully extinguished when you have finished.
  • -    Please keep the flames of the fire under two feet.
  • -    We do not have a fire out time (Provided you are attending to the fire, and you respect quie time).
  • -    A connected hose must be readily available to extinguish any fires in an emergency. This will require you to install a Y connection at the water spicket. When we turn the water off for the season, please have bucketed or bottled water readily available if needed.

Advertising

Please do not post any political signs on your site.

Please do not post any advertising signs on your site.

Please do not offer for sale any goods or services on your site.

Vehicles

5 MPH SPEED LIMIT: STRICTLY ENFORCED

All vehicles (including golf carts, snow mobiles for our seasonal campers) and bicycles must abide by the speed limit. We are an active campground with excited children who can come out of nowhere in a moment’s notice. Please abide by the speed limit and always be aware of your surroundings. We will not tolerate infractions which could result in the suspension of your driving privileges or expulsion from the campground.

All vehicles must be registered prior to entering the campground.

Anyone operating a vehicle must be licensed.

Please obey all traffic signs (to include One Way and Do Not Enter signs).

Vehicles are not permitted to be parked in front of or on the side of the Adult Rec Hall.

Bicycles & Scooters

  • -    5mp speed limit still applies.
  • -    The State of NH requires helmets for cyclists less than 16 years of age (RSA 265:144-X).
  • -    We do not permit using bicycles after dusk, even if there are headlights (regardless of the drivers age).
  • -    We do not allow any motorized bicycles or scooters.

Segways

We do not allow segways.  We do not regard Segways as mobility devices.

Mobility Scooters

We permit the use of mobility scooters to assist people with a disability. The mobility scooter must be for a single person. Only the person requiring assistance can operate it and cannot have any additional passengers (including children on laps or standing on the back).

Golf Carts & Snowmobiles

We permit the use of Golf Carts & Snowmobiles by our seasonal customers only.  Please see the Seasonal Handbook for additional guidance.

ATVs

We do not allow any other ATV (including three wheelers and four wheelers) on the property.

Children

You are responsible for the actions of the children on your site (either listed on the contract or registered as a visitor). Please fully inform your children of all the campground policies and ensure they can understand and follow them (otherwise, please ensure an adult is always in the presence of the child).

  • -    An adult must accompany children 6 and under when taking a shower.
  • -    We do not allow children 12 and older in the playgrounds.
  • -    An adult (who is 21 years old or older) must accompany children 13 and under while swimming.
  • -    Children 16 and under must be on their site by 11pm unless accompanied by an adult.
  • -    We do not allow children 17 and under in the adult rec hall unless there is a scheduled family activity. The adult rec hall and indoor pool are 2 separate areas.

Pets

We understand that pets are very much members of a family, and we do not want to exclude them from being able to camp with us. We do not have a restriction on breeds, but we will ask any pet that shows signs of aggression to leave the campground immediately (no exceptions, our digression).

  • -    Pets must always be on a leash. While on the site, the leash must not allow the pet to be in the road or on another camper’s site.
  • -    Always keep pets quiet, especially during quiet time.
  • -    Please dispose of pet waste properly and do not leave it on the ground (including your site).
  • -    Please do not leave pets unattended.

We do not have a dog park or any place where we would permit the unleashing of pets.

Visitors

NH Statue 216-I:5 – Registration states “All persons upon entering a recreational campground or camping park shall register with the appropriate authorities.”

A visitor is someone who comes to this campground as your guest who you have not previously added to the contract. We do not offer day passes, so all guests must be visiting an existing camper.

By law, we must maintain a list of all campers and their visitors. As a result, we require registration of your visitors BEFORE they enter the campground. This means you are responsible to pre-register your visitors or validate that your visitors have registered with us upon arrival.

  • -    Registration is the responsibility of the guest who rented the site, not your visitors. If your visitor is unregistered, statements such as I told them to register upon arrival, I thought they already registered, or it is their responsibility are immaterial. When a visitor arrives, simply asking “Did you register?” can help solve the problem.
  • -    If a visitor led you to believe that they did register when in fact, they did not, will result in the expulsion of those visitors.
  • -    Failure to register could result in asking the visitor to leave or assessing a double charge for their stay (campground’s discretion).
  • -    Repeated violations could result in the suspension of your right to have visitors.

You are responsible for the actions of your visitors. Please fully inform your visitors of all the campground policies prior to arrival.

We do not allow you to sublet the site or trailer. Doing so will result in expulsion for all parties. Visitors must truly be your guests.

Fees

We will charge day guests the overnight rate and refund the difference if they check out with the office before 8:00pm.

Senior citizens can receive a free day pass Monday – Friday (Holidays excluded). They must still register with the office.

Please see the office for visitor pricing.

Trash

Our dumpsters are located on the main road behind the office. The dumpster is for bagged household trash only.

During the summer months, we provide large bins for recycling and appreciate your help in placing all recyclables in their proper contains and not the dumpster.

Do not place non-household trash (furniture, TVs, fridges, wood, deconstructed screen rooms and any other non-household items and items not in a bag) in the dumpster or beside the dumpster (We do not allow unwanted items to be left there with the intention that someone else will take it). We do have a local transfer station (less than a mile away) you are welcome to use. You will need a pass (see the office) and there may be fees assessed at the transfer station.

Disposing of non-bagged household trash will result in a fee of at least $100. We do have cameras monitoring the area.

This service is only available during times the water is on in the campground (not available during winter months).

Pump outs happen at noon time. Please ensure you request it prior to that time or the day before.

A double charge may apply to emergency pump outs (subject to staff availability).

Base price is $15 for one grey water and one black water tank plus $5 for each additional tank.

Safety & Security

Camping Risks

Camping comes with a certain number of risks. We do not have paved roads, wildlife is amongst us, severe weather can appear suddenly and more. By camping with us, we are assuming no responsibility for any loss including theft. Please camp here at your own risk.

Quiet Time: 11pm – 8am

At all times, you must be aware of your noise levels and how they can affect your neighbors. This does not mean there are no limits to the amount of noise you make outside of the quiet hours. Please be courteous to your fellow campers and keep all noise (including music) to a minimum.

During the hours of quiet time…

  • -    Turn down music to the point that your neighboring sites or anyone from the road cannot hear it (regardless of their level of concern). If security can hear it from the road outside your site, it is too loud, and we will ask you to turn it down or off.
  • -    We do not permit the playing of cornhole. The banging of the bean bag echoes through the campground.

We do not allow large gatherings (Seasonal group area excluded). We do not define a large by the number of people, but by the ability of that gathering to maintain a quiet environment. Friendly Beaver Campground retains full discretion as to what is or is not a large gathering.

Smoking

We do not permit smoking inside any building, playground, or pool area. Please be respectful when smoking around others and be sure to never dispose of your cigarettes on the ground (including on your site).

The smoking age in New Hampshire is 21 (which includes the possession of tobacco or E-cigarettes).

Alcohol

We permit responsible consumption of alcohol provided you are of the legal age to do so (21 or older). We will not tolerate underage drinking, driving with an open container or over intoxication (this will be grounds for expulsion). Please cover bottles and cans with a koozie while off your site.

It is your responsibility to secure alcohol properly so that minors cannot access it. Please do not leave liquor bottles or containers of beer out in the open.

Drugs

In the state of New Hampshire, possession of marijuana without a therapeutic cannabis ID card is illegal (regardless of what your home state may allow). Furthermore, regardless of its medical or medicinal needs, we do not allow it on property.

We do not allow any illegal drug (including marijuana and medical marijuana). Please do not bring it with you. Possessing illegal drugs (including marijuana and medical marijuana) will result in expulsion from the campground and we may involve local law enforcement.

Firearms & Weapons

We do not permit firearms or weapons (including air guns and bb guns).

Fireworks

We do not permit fireworks (even during holidays and special events) to include sparklers.

Decorum

Friendly Beaver Campground is and wishes to continue to be family oriented. With this in mind, we kindly ask that you maintain a level of respect for those around you. Please refrain from using profanity or offensive phrases that others could take offense to.

Friendly Beaver Campground is an inclusive campground. We will not tolerate discrimination. Please be tolerant of others who might have different viewpoints.

Please bring to our attention any actions or issues by others who are not abiding by the above. Please do not confront them directly.

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, when you need immediate attention (medical, fire), please call 911. It is extremely important to also have someone notify the office or a staff member. This is large campground and emergency personnel may not know the exact location of every site or area. We have procedures in place to get emergency services to the location quickly but can only implement them if we know they are coming.
